SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- The PGA issued a formal apology to Colt Knost, Joe Summerhays and Yuta Ikeda of Japan after Friday's hole location at the par-4, 460-yard No. 10 was inaccurately positioned and listed.
The group was the first to tee off at the 10th in the morning wave. Those golfer encountered the mislocated pin after hitting their second shots onto the green.
According to a PGA statement, the hole -- which was cut on the right side of the green -- was intended to be on the left.
