BOSTON -- Hanley Ramirez and Clay Buchholz haven't been models of consistency this season, but they're starting to string together solid performances when the Boston Red Sox have needed them most.
Ramirez hit a home run, his second in as many nights, and drove in two runs and Clay Buchholz tossed six innings of two-run ball in Boston's 7-4 win over the New York Yankees on Friday night at Fenway Park.
"He's been in a good run for nearly a month now, where not only the average but the extra base and RBI situations are coming through for him," Red Sox manager John Farrell said of Ramirez.
