The Thunder have history on their side as they look to eliminate the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals in Oklahoma City.
As well as San Antonio has played in its own building this year -- the Spurs matched the 1985-86 Boston Celtics for the best regular-season home record in league history at 40-1 before losing twice at AT&T Center this postseason -- its road record in elimination games is cause for concern.
Under coach Gregg Popovich, the Spurs are 2-10 when facing elimination on the road. The Thunder provided one of those losses, winning 107-66 to knock out San Antonio in Game 6 of the 2012 Western Conference finals.
